An enjoyable trip on a rickety old railway on a train/coach hybrid. The views were spectacular and it was good to see village life and the sleepy town of Guamote with its local Indian people dressed in their colourful attire. It was funny when the train guard got off the train several times armed with a huge crowbar, to change the points, or I least I'd hoped so! There were some fine views of Chimbarazo around Riobamba.
