The Island of North Seymour
Dry landing on North Seymour Island. We were treated to a spectacle of activity surrounded the cliff tops with scores of frigate birds, boobies, pelicans flying around and diving into the sea to catch fish. This was before leaving the boat. On the island there were birds everywhere we looked and seemingly oblivious to our presence. Frigate birds were displaying their inflated red pouches whilst others flew overhead. We saw land iguanas, lizards and baby sea lions playing with the sally lightfoot crabs on the rocks. The male blue footed boobies were performing their courtship rituals whilst the females were playing hard to get! Highly amusing!!
